SPRING MAILBOX
Mandy Pätzold
Hey there!
My name is Mandy and I’m a stampaholic, jewelry designer, mom of two, wife and coffee & book addict from Potsdam (Germany). I first stepped into the world of stamping and paper crafting in October 2016.
I like card making the most, but I also enjoy making mini albums, gift packaging and layouts.
What I love about my hobby are the people I met and the friends I made on my way so far.
Hi crafty friends,
spring is in full swing in Germany and so my project is very springlike as well. Soft tones and flowers are always my first choice for this season. Today I'll showcase the beautiful Wild Flowers paper and the Spring Flowers paper pack.
I created a box which holds a pack of cards for different occasions. That's always a nice gift for birthdays, Mother's day or just as a little something for a dear friend. And if all the cards are used up, you can reuse the box for cards you've received or other little souvenirs.
To get the box (which measures 15x15x5 cm), trim one sheet down to 25x25 cm (bottom) and one to 20x20 cm (top). Score the bottom part at 5 cm on every side (by turning it clockwise) and the lid at 2,4 cm. Cut a slit in the score marks of one side and repeat this step at the opposite side of your paper (you get two slits on two opposite sides). Crease your paper on all the score lines. Take one of the tabs and fold it up towards the inside of your box, bring the side panel up from the bottom to meet the tab. Secure it with glue or tape.
Repeat this step with the tab directly across from the one you just secured. Continue doing the same thing with all the tabs around until your box is completely folded and glued together. Repeat these steps with the lid.
By the way: The cards have to be smaller than 15x15 cm to fit in the box. I wish I would have thought about this before. To embellish the box I used the beautiful Echinopsis die, as well as for the daisies on one of my cards.
Have a happy crafty spring-time and stay safe!
Mandy.
