THE RAINBOW OF DREAMS

Who knows what newborns dream and what they think before falling a sleep! When I saw the new Summer 2021 collection, and in particular the new NEW BABY die, I thought it was perfect for making a dream catcher to hang over the bed of a child or a girl.

A rainbow that gently accompanies them in the world of dreams!

To do this, I punched all 4 sizes of the BUBBLES CIRCLES die into 1 mm VEGETABLE CARDBOARD. I did the same thing in the SHADES OF LOVE patterned paper and glued the die cuts onto one side of the respective vegetable cardboard.

A trick to make the holes of the circles perfectly match is to make a mark where you want on the die, using a permanent marker and then as you punch, draw the same mark in pencil on the paper and on the cardboard, in order to always have the exact coincidence. Do it every time you die-cut, so then you just have to match the marks on the patterned paper with the marks on the vegetable card and glue.

Continuing, I cut the 4 bubble circles in half: a large semicircle (tiffany color) is not needed, instead I covered the other half with patterned paper on the back as well. Then I glued the other semicircles on top of each other, from large to small, both on the front and on the back.

At this point I threaded the string on top of the rainbow to be able to hang it, and along the holes at the base. I punched the various shapes of the NEW BABY die, stars, sun, moon, etc. both in the patterned paper and in the 1 mm vegetable cardboard and I glued them front / back together and at the same time with the string.

To complete I added the SENTIMENT STRIPS BUON COMPLEANNO GOLD with the words “Sometimes dreams come true” and “May your dreams come true” on the front and back. Finally I glossed some droplets and a few stars here and there and the dream catcher is done! I hope you enjoyed the projecT.
