It's never too late to get ready for Christmas, because it doesn't seem like it, but time flies so fast that we are already preparing the dinner... ha ha!

With the wonderful ModaScrap Xmas 2020 release you can only create beautiful things!! In this period we prepare decorations, home decor, albums to contain the thousands of photos that we will take and, of course, original and decorated packages to contain the gifts.

Packaging for me is a fundamental part of the gift itself… it is a hug, a kiss. So in this post I show you how to make such cute little bags of the size you need using all the Christmas pads proposed in recent years by ModaScrap.

To create these three “Xmas Paper Bags” I used the new “Christmas Italian Style” and “Sudtirol Origins” collections and I followed a tutorial found on the web. For the tallest, I diecut the largest size of the "Ribbon Tags" and cut it in two to obtain two handles. Before gluing them to the envelope, I shaped the edge of the envelope in wave patterns. I then decorated the front part (being careful not to glue too low, because when you flatten the envelope, there are folds in the base) using the "Winter Greenery" die and the sentiment, which is in the pad, diecut with the “Banner".

The handles of the medium packaging, on the other hand, I made using the rectangle of the "Suitcase Add On" die making a hole with the upper half-circle part of the "Mailbox" die putting the die just outside the plates of the Big Shot so as not to cut all part. In this case I embellished a corner of the handle with the poinsettia using the “Winter Greenery” die and two branches of fellce using the “Fern” die. Finally I pasted a sentiment on the banner.

The last smaller packaging I die-cut at the hem, before closing it, with the "Deco Lines" die with the stars and, as for the first paper bag, I die-cut from the "Ribbon Tag", this time the smaller size, and cut in half to re-create the handles. But this time instead of gluing them directly to the inside of the bag, I cut a strip of plastic from a bag and glued one end to the handle and the other to the bag, making sure that the handles could be extended, to show a sentimet. These two handles when closed are closed by the "belt" and the buckle of the "Suitcase Add On" die. With the "Wishes" stamp I stamped the word Wish and I cut it by hand and glued it to the bag (always paying attention to the folds of the bag) with a sentiment on it.

I hope I have given you some ideas and suggestions for making your Christmas and other packages.

I greet you and see you next time!

Tania.
